Bank payments, matched to their invoices.

Connect Bank of Cyprus, Eurobank, Alpha Bank, Revolut Business or Wise, read-only. Sumly suggests which invoice or bill a payment settles, and you approve it.

  • Read-only access
  • Synced several times a day
  • You approve every match
  • Read-only bank feeds

Your bank connects through a licensed open-banking provider. Sumly can read your transactions but can never move money.
  • Matches suggested for you

Sumly compares each new bank line with your open invoices, bills, VAT returns and payroll, and suggests the record that fits.
  • One click to record it

Approve records the payment against the invoice or bill and links the bank line to it.

Connect once, at your bank.

Pick your bank in Sumly and log in on the bank's own page. You never type your bank password into Sumly.

  • Bank of Cyprus, Eurobank, Hellenic Bank (now part of Eurobank), Alpha Bank, Revolut Business and Wise
  • Business accounts only, with read-only access
  • You choose which accounts to bring in, and each gets its own account in your books
  • You renew access at your bank every 180 days, and Sumly flags it 14 days before

Suggested by Sumly, approved by you.

When a bank line fits something still open in your books, Sumly names it on the line, with Approve and Dismiss beside it.

  • Sumly checks the amount, the date, the invoice number in the payment reference, the name and the IBAN
  • Approve works for part payments too, up to what is still owed
  • With a bank fee or a different currency, Sumly opens the payment form filled in for you to check
  • When there is one clear match, the invoice or bill shows it too, with its own Approve button

Tax, payroll and transfers, matched too.

Invoices and bills are only part of what goes through a company's account. Sumly also looks for your payments to the state, and for money you move between your own accounts.

  • VAT paid to the Tax Department, or refunded by it, matched to the VAT return
  • Net salaries, and the PAYE, Social Insurance and GeSY payment for each payroll run, even when split over several lines
  • A transfer between your own accounts, paired when the same amount leaves one and reaches the other within two days
  • Record a euro to dollar transfer with both amounts, each valued at that day's ECB rate

How it works.

You connect once. After that, your part is checking what Sumly suggests and clicking Approve.

  1. Once

    Connect your bank

Open Bank, click Add account and pick your bank. Log in at the bank, then tick the accounts to bring into Sumly.

  2. Sumly does this

    Your history comes in

The first sync asks the bank for as much history as it will give. After that, new transactions arrive several times a day. Pending payments come in once the bank books them.

  3. Sumly does this

    Matches are suggested

Sumly looks for the invoice, bill, VAT return, payroll run or transfer each line belongs to. When you post an invoice or bill, it also searches the bank for the payment.

  4. You approve

Check each suggestion and click Approve, or dismiss it and link the right record yourself.

  5. Every 180 days

    Renew your access

From 14 days before your access runs out, the account shows Re-authenticate. Click it, log in at your bank, and syncing carries on.

What else it does.

  • Lines sorted by type

Sumly marks each line as a card payment, transfer, direct debit, exchange, fee, interest, refund or cash, from the bank's own data.
  • Search from an invoice or bill

Register payment searches the last 180 days of bank lines and lists the 10 closest for you to choose from.
  • One payment, several invoices

A single bank line can settle several invoices or bills, as long as together they fit inside its amount.
  • Accounts in any currency

Each account keeps its own currency. Sumly suggests matches in the same currency, and you pick the rest from a list.
  • Your accountant can help

An outside accountant with access to your company can connect banks and approve matches, the same as you.
  • Ask about your bank

The assistant reads your bank lines and transfers, so you can ask what came in last month. It can't approve a match.

Works together.

Everything in Sumly writes to the same books, so each part knows what the others did.

Bank sync, answered.

The connection is read-only and runs through a licensed open-banking provider. You log in on your bank's own page, never in Sumly. Sumly can see your transactions, and it has no way to make a payment.

Bank of Cyprus, Eurobank, Hellenic Bank (now part of Eurobank), Alpha Bank, Revolut Business and Wise. Business accounts only.

Several times a day. The first sync starts as soon as you connect and brings in all the history your bank allows. Each later sync also looks back over the last four days, so late bookings still arrive. Sumly drops the repeats.

No. Sumly suggests the match and you approve it. Nothing is recorded until a person clicks Approve.

You renew your access at your bank. In the last 14 days, Sumly shows a Re-authenticate button on the account that takes you to your bank's login. If you let it run out, the account shows Expired until you renew.

Ask us. You can also add the account by hand, with a name, a currency and an IBAN if you like. It has no feed, so you record its payments yourself.

No. Bank feeds and match suggestions come with every Sumly plan, and you can use them during the 30-day free trial.

Try it with your own bank.
