Reports that update as you post.

Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and six more reports, read straight from your ledger. Post an invoice or a bill and the figures change on screen.

  • On every plan
  • Your own financial year
  • Your accountant can log in
  • Nothing to generate

There's no report to run and nothing to refresh. Open any report and it already includes the last entry you posted.
  • Compared with last year

Put the previous period or the same dates last year beside the profit and loss. The balance sheet compares with the previous year end or the same date last year.
  • Your year on the dashboard

A bar for each month shows income above the line and expenses below it. The year's profit or loss sits on top, and you can switch between financial years.

The statements, to any date.

The profit and loss and the cash flow cover any date range. The balance sheet shows what the company owns and owes on any date.

  • Corporation tax and Special Defence Contribution in their own Tax section
  • Cash flow split into operating, investing and financing
  • A red warning if the cash flow doesn't agree with your cash and bank accounts
  • Shown by account, by group or by class

Click a figure, see the entries.

Click an account line on a statement or the trial balance and its general ledger opens.

  • Date, description and voucher number on every posting
  • The contra account, so you see where the other side went
  • A running balance, plus opening, debits, credits and closing for the period
  • Pick one bank, customer or supplier to see only their postings

Who owes you, and for how long.

Receivables show what each customer owes you on any date, and payables what you owe each supplier. The aged reports split those balances by age.

  • Current, 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days
  • Aged by due date or by invoice date
  • Each balance comes from that customer's or supplier's account in your books
  • Click a customer or supplier in receivables or payables to open their ledger

From posting to report.

The reports are a view of your ledger. Keep the books up to date and the reports are too.

  1. Post your entries

Invoices, bills, bank matches you approve and manual journals all post to the same ledger.

  2. Sumly does this

    The reports follow

Each account has a fixed place in the statements, from revenue down to profit for the period. A new entry lands on the right line straight away.

  3. Pick a period

Reports open on your financial year to date. Choose any date range, or a single date for the balance sheet.

  4. Open the detail

Click an account line to check the postings behind its figure.

  5. Share with your accountant

Invite your accountant or auditor into your company in Sumly. They open the same reports and see the same figures you do.

Also included.

  • Trial balance

Opening, period and closing debits and credits for every account, or for one account class. A red warning shows if they don't balance.
  • Bank balances on the dashboard

Your dashboard shows up to three connected bank accounts, each with its balance in your books.
  • Reports in the chat

Ask Sumly AI for last quarter's profit and loss in plain words, and it builds the report from your books.
  • Your filters stay put

The period and filters you pick stay the same as you move between reports. Each company keeps its own.
  • Choose the detail

Show or hide accounts with no balance. The balance sheet and trial balance can also list each customer, supplier and bank.
  • A Cyprus chart of accounts

Reports follow the 196 accounts Sumly sets up for every Cyprus company.

Works together.

Everything in Sumly writes to the same books, so each part knows what the others did.

Reports, answered.

Nine: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, general ledger, receivables, aged receivables, payables and aged payables. The dashboard adds a monthly result chart for the financial year. All of them come with every plan.

As up to date as your books. Each report reads your ledger, so a posted invoice or bill shows in the figures straight away. A document still in your inbox stays out of the reports until you post it. So does a bank payment until you approve its match.

Yes. The month your financial year starts is a company setting. Reports open on that year to date, and you can pick any other dates.

No. Sumly works out retained earnings and the profit for the period from your income and expense accounts. There's no closing entry to post first.

Yes. Invite them from the Members page and give them the Viewer or Accountant role. Every member of the company can read the reports, including the trial balance and the general ledger.

Yes. Sumly AI can build the profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, monthly result, aged receivables or payables, and one account's ledger. It uses the same calculations as the report pages, so the figures match.

Reports are in euros. An entry in another currency is converted to euros when it's posted, using European Central Bank reference rates.
