Your Bank of Cyprus account, matched to your books.

Connect your Bank of Cyprus business account and its transactions reach Sumly several times a day. For each one, Sumly suggests the invoice, bill, VAT return or payroll run it belongs to.

  • Read-only access
  • You sign in at Bank of Cyprus
  • Business accounts only

What it brings into your books.

Sumly reads the transactions your bank has booked. It gives each one a type, then looks for the record it settles.

  • Every booked transaction, with its date, amount, counterparty, IBAN and payment reference.
  • As much history as Bank of Cyprus will share, pulled on the first sync.
  • A type on each line, such as card payment, transfer, direct debit, fee or interest. We built these rules from real Bank of Cyprus transactions.
  • A ledger account for each account you connect, named after the account and its IBAN.
  • Matches to invoices, bills, VAT payments and payroll. Sumly suggests the match and you approve it.

How to connect it.

Have your Bank of Cyprus login to hand.

  1. Open Bank accounts

Click Add account on the Bank accounts page, or Connect bank account on your dashboard.

  2. Pick Bank of Cyprus

On the Bank tab, choose Bank of Cyprus. Sumly sends you to the bank's own login page.

  3. Approve at the bank

Sign in at Bank of Cyprus and allow read access. Your password goes to the bank, never to Sumly.

  4. Choose your accounts

Back in Sumly, tick the accounts to bring in and confirm. The first sync starts straight away.

  5. Renew every 180 days

The approval lasts 180 days. From 14 days before it ends, the account shows a Re-authenticate button that takes you back to the bank.

Bank of Cyprus and Sumly: questions

No. Sumly connects through a licensed open-banking provider and asks only for read access. The connection has no way to start a payment, so money moves only when you move it at the bank.

Several times a day. The account page shows when it last synced. A card payment that is still pending at the bank appears once the bank books it.

No. Sumly asks for access as a business customer, so only business accounts connect. After you sign in, you also tick which of those accounts to bring in.

No. Sumly looks at the amount, the date, the name, the IBAN and any invoice number in the reference, then suggests a match. It records no payment until someone clicks Approve.

Yes. Sumly looks for the VAT return behind a payment to the Tax Department. A payroll run has two payments. One is the net salaries. The other goes to the state for PAYE, Social Insurance, GeSY and the other funds. Sumly suggests a match for each, even when one went out in several transfers.

Ask us. You can also add the account by hand with its name, IBAN and currency. It gets no feed, but payments you record still post to it.
