Easily take on50+ clients.
Sumly does the bookkeeping for every client company — you click accept.
One dashboard for your whole portfolio. Open banking connects each client's bank and syncs the transactions; drag the documents in and Sumly's AI matches everything on the right Cyprus VAT code — you click accept, and you're done. Ask Sumly AI anything about any client's books.
Free for your practice. Each client company runs on Base for €39/month — you choose whether the practice pays or the client does. Sumly replaces the bookkeeping work, not the accountant.
The year, split three ways
Sumly replaces the bookkeeping work, not the accountant. It takes the part of the work nobody pays a premium for; everything a client actually values stays with you.
Sumly's AI does the data entry
- Reads every receipt, bill and invoice
- Double-entry bookkeeping on the right Cyprus VAT code
- Bank reconciliation, automatically
- VAT, VIES and provisional-tax returns prepared box by box
- Year-end statements drafted from the ledger
For every client company, every month, without a timesheet.
You do the accounting
- Click accept on what the AI matched — or correct it with a manual journal
- Advise: structure, tax planning, what the numbers mean
- Approve and file every return
- Sign the year-end, liaise with the auditor
- Own the client relationship — you are the accountant of record
The work clients pay a professional for — and the only work left on your desk.
A Partner Auditor does the audit or review
- The statutory audit — or, for the smallest companies, a lighter review engagement
- Ordered for any client directly in your dashboard
- Always an independent, ICPAC-licensed auditor
- Works from a complete audit trail: every entry links to its document
Sumly never performs audits — it connects your client to one. Already offer audit yourself? Decline Partner Auditors in Sumly and run it as before.
Your practice first, your clients inside it
Most accounting software lets a client invite their accountant in, one company at a time; Sumly is built the other way round — the practice runs every client from one dashboard.
Every client company on one screen
Open one login and see the whole portfolio: which clients have unbooked documents, whose VAT return is due, what is waiting for your review. You stop opening thirty files to find the three that need you.
- All client companies under one login
- Deadlines, unbooked documents and return status per client
- Team access with roles — Owner, Member, Viewer and Accountant

Open banking in, documents in, Sumly AI matches — you click accept
For every client, the open-banking API connects to their bank and syncs the transactions, read-only. Drag and drop the receipts and invoices — or let clients forward them to their private Sumly email — and Sumly AI reads, books and matches everything against the bank feed. You click accept on each match, and the month is done. Where judgment is needed you have a true double-entry ledger, a Cyprus chart of accounts, and manual journals with a live preview.
- Read-only open-banking feeds from the Cyprus banks your clients use
- Ask Sumly AI about any client: VAT position, deadlines, cross-check a bank statement — and let it fix things
- ~200-account Cyprus chart of accounts, incl. Social Insurance, GeSY and Corporation Tax
- Manual journals: multi-line, draft → post, with a live preview
- Posted entries are never silently edited — corrections reverse
Move a client in an afternoon
A dedicated opening-balance flow brings a client's existing balances into Sumly with the history intact — from a previous system or a previous accountant. Books can also open the day a company is formed: Sumly registers Cyprus companies too, and Cyprus lets a company deduct expenses up to 6 months before establishment.
- Opening-balance flow for existing clients
- Every ledger entry keeps its source document — a complete audit trail
- New clients: books from day zero, formation included

Year-end in an afternoon, not a month
Every entry stays linked to the document that created it, so the audit or review gets a complete trail instead of a folder of PDFs. When a client needs an auditor, order a verified Partner Auditor for them directly in the dashboard — the engagement stays independent, you stay in control.
- Order a Partner Auditor per client, in the dashboard — or decline it if your firm already offers audit, and run it exactly as before
- Audit or review engagement — the Partner Auditor confirms which applies
- Complete audit trail from ledger entry to source document

Built for the practice, not bolted on
Category-level — the tools most Cyprus practices run their clients on today.
The programme: bring 10 clients, get the next ones referred
Free for your practice. Bring 10+ clients, take the course, and get referred customers in your area — you accept the ones you want.
Start free and bring your clients in
Open the practice dashboard, add your first client company and run it free for 30 days. Bring the rest over with the opening-balance flow — the practice pays, or the client pays; you decide per company.
Reach 10 active clients and take Sumly's course
Once 10+ client companies you brought to Sumly yourself are active, an ICPAC-member practice can apply. The course is a practical walkthrough of running client books in Sumly — review, manual journals, VAT and VIES, year-end and the audit handover.
Become a Sumly Verified Bookkeeper
Verified practices run their client books exclusively in Sumly from then on. In return, Sumly customers who want a local bookkeeper are referred to Verified Bookkeepers in their area — in accordance with Cyprus law and regulation.
Accept the referrals you want, in the dashboard
Referred customers appear in your dashboard; you accept the ones you want and decline the ones you don't. No volume promised, no commissions — just clients who already run their books the way you do.
Free for you. Simple for your clients.
The practice dashboard is free — no seat fees, no platform fee. Each client company runs on Base, and clients who want a hands-off service from Sumly itself choose Premium — Sumly-delivered, and never taken away from a Verified Bookkeeper's client. Prices exclude VAT, every client company starts with a 30-day free trial, and the per-client add-ons are Payroll (€15/employee/mo), IP Box (€50/mo) and Projects (€10/mo).
Do it yourself
The full platform for founders who like to save money and time. Sumly AI books everything, and you just review and file.
- Invoicing & automated bookkeeping
- Automatic bank reconciliation
- VAT, VIES & tax returns prepared
- Dashboard, reports and AI assistant
Get a certified bookkeeper
Full access to the platform, plus your own Sumly certified bookkeeper. Amoung the cheapest accounting services in Cyprus.
- Everything in Base included
- Your own Sumly certified bookkeeper
- VAT, VIES & payroll filed for you
- Year-end accounts handled
From 2026 the smallest Cyprus companies may replace the full audit with a lighter review — still signed by an ICPAC-licensed auditor, still the same filings, but fewer billable hours per client. The practices that stay profitable will be the ones that stop typing and start advising.
Sumly takes the data entry off every client file, so the same team carries more clients — and Partner Auditors are ordered in the dashboard, so the engagement stays independent without you running it.
Questions practices ask us
Is Sumly trying to replace me?
No. Sumly replaces the bookkeeping work, not the accountant. Every Cyprus company still needs a licensed practitioner to sign off the year-end — a full audit or a review engagement — and every client still needs someone who knows what to do when the answer isn't obvious. What Sumly replaces is the data entry you are currently billing at professional rates: the part clients resent paying for and you don't enjoy doing.
You sell a bookkeeper service yourself — aren't we competing?
Sumly's Premium plan includes a Sumly certified bookkeeper for founders who want a hands-off service directly from Sumly. That is one door. The other door is yours: Sumly customers who want a local, independent bookkeeper are referred to Verified Bookkeepers in their area, and a client already working with a Verified Bookkeeper is never approached by Sumly. Two doors, one platform.
What does the practice dashboard cost?
Nothing. The practice dashboard is free for the practice; each client company runs on Base at €39/month (€390 a year with two months free), excluding VAT, with add-ons per client if they need payroll, IP Box or projects.
Who pays for a client company — the practice or the client?
You decide, per company. Either the practice pays the Base subscription (€39/month) and invoices it on however you like, or the client company pays Sumly directly. The practice dashboard itself is free either way, and every client starts with a 30-day free trial.
What does the course involve?
A practical walkthrough of running client books in Sumly: the review workflow, manual journals and the chart of accounts, VAT and VIES preparation, year-end statements and the audit handover. It is built for people who already know accounting and want to know Sumly. Ask us for the current syllabus when you apply.
Do I have to move all my clients to Sumly?
Not to use Sumly — the practice dashboard is free and you can start with one client. To be a Sumly Verified Bookkeeper, yes: the programme is for ICPAC-member practices that run their client books exclusively in Sumly. That is what makes the referrals work — a customer referred to you already keeps their books the way you do.
What happens to a client's data if they leave my practice?
The books belong to the client company. Every ledger entry keeps its source document, reports are live, and a client can move on with a complete history — a partner network only works if nobody is trapped in it. Your access is a role on their company, not ownership of it.
Can I order audits for my clients — and what if my firm already does audits?
Yes. From any client company in the dashboard you can order a verified Partner Auditor for the statutory audit or, where the company qualifies, a review engagement. The Partner Auditor is independent and ICPAC-licensed; Sumly never performs the audit itself. If your firm already offers audit, simply decline Partner Auditors inside Sumly and run your business exactly as before — just more streamlined. Or become a Partner Auditor yourself and receive engagements: the Sumly for auditors page has the details.
Who can become a Sumly Verified Bookkeeper?
ICPAC-member accountants and bookkeeping practices in Cyprus that already run 10 or more active client companies in Sumly — clients they brought to Sumly themselves. Reach that, take Sumly's course, and apply; we reply personally. From then on, referred customers appear in your dashboard and you accept the ones you want.
