What does a new Cyprus company need in its first year?
Registration with the Registrar of Companies, a bank account, bookkeeping from day one, VAT registration when required, VAT and VIES returns each period, provisional tax installments, the corporate tax return, year-end financial statements, and an independent auditor's sign-off. Sumly covers all of it: formation, the books, the returns prepared, and Partner Auditors ordered in the dashboard.
Do I need Sumly's services or just the software?
Most founders start with the software: Base is the full platform for €39/mo, and you do the books yourself in about 10 minutes a month. Add a service when you need it — formation if the company doesn't exist yet, a Sumly certified bookkeeper on Premium if you'd rather have it done, a Partner Auditor at year-end. Nothing is bundled you don't use. The two plans sit side by side on our pricing page.
Which services have a fixed price?
All of them are fixed-price by design — no hourly billing, ever. Company formation is €950, self-employed registration €200, the Yellow Slip €400 and tax residency with non-dom €750 — all excluding VAT, with government and other actual expenses invoiced separately once your application is approved. The dedicated bookkeeper is the Premium plan, priced monthly. Partner Auditor engagements start at €950 and are quoted per company. Custom API bookkeeping is scoped per project, price on request.
Can I combine services — for example formation plus the Yellow Slip?
Yes. Book a meeting and tell us which services you need. We go through the scope and prices together before you commit. EU citizens moving here usually take formation plus the Yellow Slip; founders settling their tax affairs add tax residency and non-dom. Formation and Premium combine naturally too: order the company, and your Sumly certified bookkeeper runs the books from the day it's registered — or from the day you order, using the six-month pre-establishment rule.
I already have an accountant — which service is for me?
Probably none yet: start with Base and invite your accountant in, or ask them about running your books in Sumly's free practice dashboard. If you'd rather switch to a Sumly certified bookkeeper, that's Premium, and switching is an afternoon with the opening-balance flow — the switch accountant page walks through it.
